Welcome to Tri Area Teen Center
Welcome to the Jefferson Teen Center! In April we celebrated our first anniversary in our new home on the Chimacum School campus, where we are open every day after school from 2 to 4:30 PM. We would love to have you come and visit! Lots of new faces show up every week to hang out with friends, play music, foosball and pool, watch movies or use the computers for homework and school-filtered internet surfing. Last but certainly not least are our legendary peanut-butter-and-jelly sandwiches (and other snacks!), prepared by our wonderful staff!
Our overall mission is to provide local youth with the opportunity to be free, creative and accepting of themselves and others. We are the “safe place” for many young people, and our hope is that the values learned here will help them to become caring and connected members of our community.
In addition to fun, food, and safety, the Teen Center also offers access to services such as health care, employment opportunities and referrals to substance abuse programs. We work closely with local prevention organizations to ensure that we are providing a supportive atmosphere for youth to make healthy choices.
We are entering our 15th year of operation, and our original “Teen Center Kids” are now approaching 30! We invite you to be a part of our new generation!
